Peek Retina with Clip and Cap

Product Description

Peek Retina – smartphone adapter for retinal imaging

Peek Retina is a portable ophthalmoscope that enables you to view and capture retinal images on your smartphone wherever you are, through a dilated eye.

  • Intuitive and easy to use, converting your smartphone into a retinal camera in under 30seconds
  • Works in any environment from clinical settings to remote rural areas.
  • Allows you to examine the optic nerve and macula to identify diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and age related macular degeneration.
  • Enables immediate sharing of images captured of the back of the eye with other professionals, transfer to EPRs or to show the patient what you have seen

Proven results

Prototypes of Peek Retina have undergone extensive validation including a trial in partnership with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Kenyan Ministry of Health and Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust. Over 2,000 retinal images were taken using Peek Retina and a standard desktop retinal camera, both were independently graded at Moorfields. Grading of the optic nerve was found to be comparable using both methods and our research has been published and is open access here.

Intended use

There are three versions of Peek Retina available depending on your intended use: Medical, Educational, and Veterinary:

Customer Reviews

  1. (verified owner):

    A revolutionary piece of kit

  2. (verified owner):

This is a game-changer for our industry

  3. (verified owner):

This simple to set up and adaptable smart phone attachment allows the taking of quality retinal images from a dilated eye with the minimum training. The ease of capture with widely available portable devices and then safe transfer of images should open up retinal health screening to areas previously without any form of eye care.
I fully commend this breakthrough gadget

  4. :

I am delighted with Peek Retina. It is extremely easy to use and I now carry it in my pocket so it is always with me. I have used it to examine patient where I want to explain to them what I am seeing. It is most useful when I have my remote clinics
